How Wrinkle Reduction with Botulinum works

Wrinkles in the face such as frown lines, forehead wrinkling and ‘crows feet’ are all caused by the contracting of small muscles in the face. When will I see results of this Wrinkle Reduction treatment?

The effects begin to show after approximately 5 days however it will usually take around 2 weeks for maximum effect. At this time a top up can be given if muscle movement is still present. Effects can usually be expected to last from 3-6 months but will vary from client to client.

How is it given and is the procedure painful?

A series of small injections are administered using a fine needle. There can be some stinging and bruising at the injection site. You will be given an aftercare sheet with instructions on how to minimise this. Arnica cream can be useful to minimise bruising.
